Thursday Night Light Up The Night Ride

Thursday Night

6:30 pm
Location: Pee Dee Bicycle

THURSDAY NIGHT RIDE IS CANCELED

Why should the night keep us from enjoying the road? An evening ride is just what the doctor ordered in the middle of the week. Headlights, taillights and reflective gear are required on this enjoyable ride into the night. For safety reasons, the ride leader will ensure everyone is using appropriate lighting.

RIDE DETAILS:
-Social Ride for all bikes - average 9-11 mph Distance approx. 10 miles

-D Pace ride - average 13-15 mph Distance approx. 15-20 miles

Our D Pace Ride is for those who are comfortable on their bike and have a basic level of fitness.  The goal, in addition to having fun, is to get back in shape by riding your bike.  Typically you’ll see road bikes, hybrids, fixies (single gear bikes), and even some Mt. Bikes at the D Pace.

D Pace Ride is a  "No Drop" ride.  This means everyone always stays together.  Sometimes  rides will split apart as some riders are just naturally faster than others, in these cases, our ride leader will take short breaks along the route to bring the group back together.  We will make sure everyone makes it back to the starting location after the ride.  We will go over some basic safety items before the ride begins such as making sure all riders have a helmet, lights water bottle, and spare tubes in case of a flat tire.

Rain, winds above 15mph and temps below 45 degrees mean the ride will be cancelled

Friday Morning Java Skidaddle Ride
